Sept. 1st – Sept. 4th – IndyCar Grand Prix at The Glen, 2790 County Route 16, Watkins Glen, NY. Sept. 9th – 31st Annual TomatoFest & The Brew Run Series, 128 Genesee Street, Auburn, NY. Features a buffet of music, children’s activities, food vendors and more. Four stages of live music. The section of Genesee Street between William and South Street will be sectioned off, along with the neighboring section of State Street. This long-standing fundraiser for the local food pantries is moving downtown! Friday night kick-off event will include a sponsor reception, live music acts scheduled at A.T. Walley’s, Parker’s Grille, Moondog’s Lounge, Prison City Pub & Brewery & Osteria Salina, plus Music on the Mall on State Street from 7 – 10PM. On Saturday, 11AM – 6PM, come back downtown to enjoy an more live music with street performers, food & fine art vending & activities for the whole family. The event will also offer two ticket music performances at Auburn Public Theater.

Nearly 60 years after the first Clothesline, Rochester’s largest and longest-running fine art and crafts festival continues to thrive. Sept. 10th – Professor Louie and The Crowmatix, Auburn Public Theater, 8 Exchange Street, Auburn, NY. This very special two-act Benefit Concert brings the best of the Woodstock sound to TomatoFest 2016. Rory Block, who will open for the Crowmatix at 8:00pm is to Bonnie Raitt what Bonnie Raitt is to the rest of us blues playing mortals: inspirational. Professor Louie and the Crowmatix will follow Block and have an impressive background: they backed up Van Morrison and Bob Dylan and then collaborated for over a decade with the Band. Sept. 15th – Sept. 24th – First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival, 406 East Main Street, Rochester, NY. Since its debut in 2012, the First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival has become one of the most successful fringe festivals in the U.S. This 10-day, multi-arts festival now boasts over 500 performances and events – more than a quarter of which are Free – in 25+ venues in downtown Rochester, NY. Since 1961, the grape festival has been held every September to celebrate the area’s grape harvest, talented artisans, wine makers, local and regional music and cuisine on the grounds of the Naples High School and Memorial Town Hall. Bake a pie for the World’s Greatest Grape Pie Contest and sample everything “grape” that our valley has to offer. Taste Finger Lakes wines in the wine tent.
