Wednesday, March 9 – Sunday, March 13 – Both Ends of the Rainbow – Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center, 205 Genesee St., Auburn.
This annual exhibition features over 1,000 works of art by local students and senior citizens from Cayuga County. The work is beautifully displayed, and extremely well done. Hours: Tues. – Sat. 10am-5pm, Sun. 1pm-5pm. Suggested admission $3, children under 12 free. 315-255-1553

Thursday, March 10, – Making Movies: A Contemporary Film & Video Series – Auburn Public Theater, 108 Genesee St. Auburn.
Film by Gossa Tsegaye. Tsegaye is a documentary filmmaker who focuses on people who inhabit the social margins of our region. He will be screening “The Jungle’s Edge”, which documents an area along the railroad tracks on Ithaca’s west side where homeless people gather. Film at 7:30pm. Suggested donation $5. (315) 253-6669

Thursday, March 10, & Friday, March 11 – Film – Run Lola Run – Auburn Public Theater, 108 Genesee St. Auburn.

Thursday, March 10 through Sunday, March 13 – 2011 Short Play Festival – Auburn Public Theater, 108 Genesee St. Auburn.
The Auburn Players Community Theatre, Inc. with Second Stage, now celebrating its 50th year in Auburn, presents on the main stage, seven thought provoking short plays. The best of 2010-11! Saturday, March 12 – Seasons of a Finger Lakes Winery Book Launch with Author John Hartsock – Long Point Winery, 1485 Lake Rd., Aurora. Seasons of a Finger Lakes Winery is a delightful account of the agrarian life and cycles of the winemaking life. Gary Barletta (Long Point Winery) has succeeded in creating wonderful wines from the Finger Lakes that stand up beautifully in the world of wine. Saturday, March 12 – St. Patricks Celebration – Dill’s Run Winery, 3862 State Route 90, Aurora.
Dill’s Run Winery is organizing a St. Patrick’s Celebration. Participating are: King Ferry Winery, Chateau Dusseau Winery, Giancarelli Brother’s Winery, Izzo’s White Barn Winery, and Dill’s Run Winery. For every $10.00 purchase you will receive a ticket to enter you for two Drawings. One for a $100.00 Gift Certificate for Coleman’s Irish Pub in Syracuse and the other for a case of wine that you choose at the participating wineries. Wednesday, March 16 – Shaw Red Wine Dinner – Aurora Inn, 391 Main St. Aurora. Indulge in award-winning Fingerlakes wine, accompanied by a five-course menu creatively prepared by the Aurora Inn chefs. Over the course of the evening, Steve Shaw of Shaw Vineyards, a high-quality grape grower in the Finger Lakes region for 30 years will share insights into his wines and the region’s growth and emergence as a world-class producer of vinifera wines. Inside Job, written by Charles Ferguson, shines a light on the global financial crisis. The narrative is built around dozens of players, interviewing authors, bank managers, government ministers, and even a psychotherapist.
