Today is January 11th and the Koi in our back pond here at 10 Fitch bed and breakfast are still swimming around! That’s just amazing! By now the surface of both ponds is usually frozen over and the fish haven’t been seen since sometime in November. So, I’m hoping that the next few weeks brings some colder snowier weather to the Finger Lakes in time for Winterfest 2012 organized by the Skaneateles Rotary Club, which will take place from 11 a.m – 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 28 at various locations throughout the village of Skaneateles, just a 10 minute drive from Auburn.
