10 Fitch is currently accepting applications for the following positions:
Innkeepers Assistant: Are you a cheerful, optimistic, organized, enthusiastic, energetic, reliable, honest multi-tasker who enjoys being productive, in a beautiful, pleasant environment and helping others? 10 Fitch is looking to hire such a person as an innkeepers assistant. Initially 30 hrs per week eventually progressing into full time. No hospitality experience necessary, will train, but strong computer skills, preferably on a Mac, and the ability to learn quickly as well as general cooking skills are required.
Duties would vary from day to day and season and would include but not be limited to answering phone inquiries about the inn & area, booking reservations, setting up guest massages, dinner reservations & winery tours, checking in guests, checking out guests, preparing & serving breakfast, house keeping, gardening, shopping and running errands. Position requires that you can move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested. Knowledge of the area and what it has to offer is a must but can be learned.
Our goal is to hire and train someone who along with part time cleaning help, can run the inn in our absence. If you have ever wanted your own bed & breakfast this is a wonderful way to get hands on experience and see what it’s really like.
Housekeeper: If you enjoy making everything neat, tidy and sparkling clean, have plenty of energy and take pride in the work you do you might enjoy housekeeping at 10 Fitch. We are looking to hire a part time housekeeper Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 11AM – 3PM. We have three guests suites, each comprised of a private bath, bedroom and sitting room as well as a library, sunroom, living room, powder room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor of the inn. Tasks will be performed according to 10 Fitch policies and procedures and will be varied depending on our occupancy but generally will include entering guest rooms after ensuring vacancy, replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms. Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items. Load washer and dryer. Make beds and fold laundry. Clean bathrooms. Remove trash, dirty linen, and any room service items. Tidy surface areas & furniture. Dust & polish. Vacuum carpets and main staircase, perform floor care duties. Ensure personal appearance are clean and professional. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested. Guest rooms will be the main priority and will consume most of the time allotted when a all three rooms are full but as time allows cleaning of the downstairs areas will be included.
Position requires the ability to work holidays if needed when they fall on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Must be reliable, cheerfully hard working, teachable, & trustworthy.
