Nov. 14th – Nov. 15th – Weekend Workshop: Beginning Glassblowing, The Studio at The Corning Museum of Glass, One Museum Way, Corning, NY. Nov. 20th – Nov. 23rd – 22nd Annual Holiday Shopping Spree, Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, All 16 Member Wineries, 2770 County Road 128 (Ernsberger Rd), Romulus, NY. Experience the holidays and the hustle and bustle of our 22nd Annual Holiday Shopping Spree. You will receive a souvenir wine glass, a grapevine wreath, a recipe collection and an ornament from each of the 16 wineries. You will also receive a Shopper’s Card good at each winery for a discount off your purchase during the event. Travel winery to winery to sample their holiday-inspired dish and sip their fine wines. Nov. 20th – Nov. 22nd – November Deck the Halls Along Seneca Lake Wine Trail, 2 N Franklin St #320, Watkins Glen, NY 14891. With two of these events taking place on two separate weekends, November 20-22 or December 4-6, 2015, these events are by far our most popular. Go to your chosen starting winery and begin a weekend of fun and festivities while sampling holiday wines and food tastings. The wineries are decorated for the holiday season. Over the 2-1/2 day weekend event, visit the participating wineries, receive a recipe book and collect ornaments to decorate your handmade grapevine wreath. Nov. 22nd – Parlor Music Concert, Seward House Museum, 33 South Street, Auburn, NY. Operatic soprano Rebecca Carr returns to the Seward House Museum for the fourth annual Parlor Music Concert, accompanied by accomplished conductor and collaborative pianist, Richard Montgomery. The magnificent atmosphere of the Seward House Museum Drawing Room and the 1872 Steinway piano will compliment Carr’s voice, which is characterized as a “big, vibrant soprano” that brings “touching” and “remarkable” portrayals to the roles she performs, in a dramatic and engaging program of well-known and most beloved operatic and operetta arias. Nov. 27th – Dec. 24th – 21st Annual Dickens Christmas in Skaneateles, Skaneateles, NY. An annual tradition, the celebration begins the day after Thanksgiving and runs every Saturday and Sunday through December 24, from noon to 4 pm. Charles Dickens and his cast of over 50 characters will interact with residents and visitors in the streets, stores and restaurants.
