August 4th –  August 20th Auburn Public Theater Presents: My Son The Waiter, 8 Exchange Street, Auburn, NY. 90 minutes of non-stop laughter starring Brad Zimmerman! August 5th – August 6th2016 Wheat Harvest Festival and Parade, Rural Life Museum, 920 State Route 34B, King Ferry, NY. Celebrate this tradition at the Rural Life Museum! Festival runs Friday and Saturday. Friday Night from 6:30 -10:00 pm – food, music & dancing. Saturday from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. August 14th The Great Race, Emerson Park, 6914 East Lake Road, Auburn, NY. The Great Race is the nation’s largest team only run, bike and paddle triathlon. Hundreds of 2, 3, or 4 person teams begin with a runner (5k or 10k) who hands off to a biker (10 or 20 miles) who then hand off to their kayaker or 2 canoeists. Young or old, serious racers or beginners (check out the news story below), compete for glory or the pursuit of fun and fitness. After the race, the annual post-race celebration begins.
