According to data from Twitter, the Spanish are more likely to tweet “Te amo” (I love you) in November than in any other month. Wonder why that is? It is an interesting fact! Nov. 1st – Nov. 6thA Living Legacy : Arts of the Haudenosaunee Exhibit, Cayuga Museum203 Genesee Street, Auburn, NY. A Living Legacy: Arts of the Haudenosaunee will feature original art from more than a dozen artists from the Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy. Working in customary media such as beadwork and corn husks, as well as modern media like photography, these artists bring their cultural backgrounds to their art in both traditional and unexpected ways. Paintings from Kristina McLeod, antler carvings from Hayden Haynes, baskets from Penelope Minner and paintings by Mike Jones are just a few of the artists and media represented. The Cayuga Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 5:00 p.m. Admission is FREE for museum members and children under 12, non-members are $5. Nov. 2nd Movies at the Mack: Season IV, Theater Mack, 203 Genesee Street, Auburn, NY. Featuring International Visionaries such as Henri-Georges Clouzot – Diabolique (1955). This ongoing film seminar gives an overview of classic American cinema from the Hollywood Golden Age of the 1940s to the 1960s. $3 admission. 2:00pm  and 7:00 pm. Nov. 2nd – Nov. 19th Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival Presents : Smokey Joe’s CafeMerry-Go-Round Playhouse, 6877 East Lake Road, Auburn, NY. A song and dance rollercoaster of rock, R&B, jazz and a whole lotta soul! With songs like “Hound Dog,” “Fools Fall In Love,” “Stand By Me,” “Jailhouse Rock” and 35 more, this electrifying musical blows the roof off and brings the house down. Nov. 3rd Live Music: Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams, Auburn Public Theater, 8 Exchange Street, Auburn, NY. Multi-instrumentalist-vocalist Larry Campbell and singer-guitarist Teresa Williams have rocked many a venue, as both center stage performers and invaluable assets to world class acts. A shortlist of artists who’ve benefited from their talents, live and in studios, reads like a Who’s Who of Music Icons: Bob Dylan (Larry spent eight years on the Never Ending Tour), Paul Simon, Little Feat, Hot Tuna, Phil Lesh, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, Mavis Staples, and, for one miraculous seven-year stretch, Levon Helm. 7:30 pm. Nov. 5thMonarchs & Milkweed, Sterling Nature Center, 15380 Jenzvold Road, Sterling, NY. Join us for a presentation on the Monarch Butterfly, its plight, and their need for milkweed plants. The Monarch Butterfly presentation will be followed with the creation of milkweed seed-orbs for fall planting that you will make and take home to help the butterflies. Some pre-made seed-orbs will be available for purchase through the gift shop if you do not want to make your own and get your hands dirty. Nov. 11th Live Music: Ceili Rain, Auburn Public Theater, 8 Exchange Street, Auburn, NY. Ceili Rain is an original, innovative band of pop-rock music with a dash of Celtic/Irish flavor and a subtle, but sincere, uplifting/joyful message.
