March 3rdGilbert & Sullivan’s HMS PinaforeAuburn Chamber Orchestra & Auburn Players Community Theatre, Auburn High School Auditorium, 250 Lake Ave., Auburn, NY. The Auburn Chamber Orchestra joins forces with Auburn Players Community Theatre for performances of Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore at the Auburn High School auditorium on Friday, March 3 (7:30 pm), and Sunday, March 5 (2:00 pm). Don’t miss this huge community collaboration of music and humor!

March 3rd IGNITE the Winter : First Friday, Exchange Street Plaza, Genesee Center, Auburn, NY. This outdoor winter festival features a chili, soup & chowder cook-off, local wine, cider & beer sales, two music acts on the showmobile stage from 5 – 8PM. Also on Exchange, there’s horse & wagon rides, and a live ice sculptor demonstration. Inside Genesee Center, there’s a wide array of family fun activities and a Perform4Purpose student show. The BID “after glow” party features live music on Stage Right in Auburn Public Theater from 8 – 10PM, plus an exhibit by Auburn Photography Club. March 18th3rd Annual Bacon on the Lakein, Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, 2770 Ernsberger Road, Romulus, NY. You read it right… we said BACON! 

The wineries have paired tantalizing bacon dishes with CLWT wines for your pleasure. Your taste buds will thank us later. At every winery, leave a ticket stub in the piggy bank for a chance to win a BBQ Bacon Basket. Besides sampling bacon infused dishes, you’ll sample a wine that compliments that dish, and also be offered up to 3 more additional wine tastings. In addition, make sure to visit each of the 16 wineries to be eligible to win a BBQ themed gift basket containing BBQ sauces, utensils, and so much more!

March 18th St. Patrick’s Day Wine and Wings Tour, Montezuma Audubon Center, 2295 Route 89, Savannah, NY. Wear your green and join us in the Montezuma Audubon Center’s van to search for elusive Short-eared Owls, Northern Harriers, Bald Eagles and more! During the tour we’ll stop at the Montezuma Winery to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day while tasting award winning wines and learning how vineyards and Important Bird Areas can exist side by side. March 18thMaple Syrup Weekends, Smokey Hollow Maple Syrup, 8597 Pierce Road, Jordan, NY. Come for breakfast, a tour, and to purchase your favorite maple products. March 19th Masterworks Chorale : Choral Classics with Orchestral Accompaniment, St. Mary’s Church, 15 Clark Street, Auburn, NY. 4pm – 5:30pm. This program is presented in part with funding from the Skaneateles Area Art Council (SKARTS). Tickets: adults $15; seniors (60 and over) $10; age 18 and under free. March 24th – May 21st –  Made in NY 2017, Schweinfurth Art Center, 205 Genesee St., Auburn, NY. Made in New York is an annual exhibit featuring artists who reside in New York State. This year’s exhibit features a futuristic theme reflecting environment, community, technology, aging, globalism and more.
